Territory Sales Manager, Shanghai area

 
  • Reports to the China Regional Sales Manager.
  • Salary and reward package appropriate to the candidate experience and qualification.

 

The Company

 

Megger Limited is a leading worldwide manufacturer of electrical test and measurement equipment, looking to establish entity in China to significantly grow exisiting and new business.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor and influence the distributor' staffing levels and competencies
  • Develop relationships with key end users in the territory to best achieve specification objectives 
  • Direct, monitor and support the sales and promotional activities of the distributors in the territory 
  • Monitor and influence the distributor' staffing levels and competencies
  • Monitor and influence the distributor' stocking levels and arrangements.
  • Monitor and influence the distributor' end user pricing levels
  • Agree annual business plans with distributors and perform regular monitoring of results against target
  • Launch new products to distributors and end users, and agree distributors' own launch activities for new products
  • Demonstrate products to distributors and end users
  • Work with colleagues to agree and implement the marketing plan for the territory
  • Ensure that sales targets for the territory are achieved
  • Develop relationships with the distributors in the territory to best assist their efforts and earn buy-in of their time and efforts
  • Develop relationships with key end users in the territory to optimise feedback to the engineering teams on product features and requirements objectives
  • Provide monthly reports detailing the key achievements, issues, results and plans for the territory

 

Skills, Competences, Qualifications

 

  • Electrical Engineering qualification at degree level
  • Experienced in the sales environment
  • Experienced in the electrical testing field
  • Driving licence
  • Literacy in computer skills, especially in MS Office applications
  • Good written and spoken English

  • Resident in the sales territory
  • Good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time planning and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work under remote supervision
  • Energetic, positive thinking, competitive sales drive
  • Focused goal achiever
  • Able to travel internationally, particularly for training in EU and USA, ca. 3-4 weeks/year.
