Business Research Analyst and Marketing Communications Executive

 
  • Research role transitions to Marketing role after 6-12 months.
  • Reporting to the China Regional Sales Manager.
  • Salary and reward package appropriate to the candidate experience and qualification.

 

The Company

 

Megger Limited is a leading worldwide manufacturer of electrical test and measurement equipment, looking to establish entity in China to significantly grow existing and new business. The company is looking for a person who can perform business research tasks to support this development, and then transition to a marketing role once the local entity has been established and growth plans implemented.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:  Business Research Analyst (months 1-12)

 

  • Market analyst assisting the company's development and organic growth strategy.
  • Analyse Megger market potential in China mid-range and top range and provide in depth information.
  • Contact potential M&A and JV targets, build information data base on suitable companies.
  • Contact Customer base and establish need for Megger products current and future.
  • Analyse Megger Brand image create future development plans for brand development

 

Roles and Responsibilities: Marketing Communications Executive (month 6 onwards)

 

  • Plan, coordinate and implement marketing activities
  • Manage creation and production of local marketing collateral and literature
  • Create, adapt, and develop promotional material working with in-house resource, printers and other agencies.
  • Negotiate the supply of competitively priced marketing materials
  • Utilise and implement print, direct mail, digital, advertising and PR methods of publicity
  • Build Social Media presence and engagement
  • Analyse Megger Brand image create future development plans for brand development
  • Advise and provide content for centrally produced initiatives
  • Manage translations as necessary
  • Develop and maintain more functional local Megger web-site
  • Maintain and build customer data records
  • Organise, set-up and assist at trade shows etc
  • Control stock of marketing materials
  • Organise shipping and distribution of marketing materials
  • Response to and fulfilment of customer enquiries
  • Ensure compliance to and consistency with Megger brand and corporate identity
  • Management of the assigned marketing communications budget
  • Provide monthly reports on campaigns, initiatives, activities and results
  • Various administrative tasks to support and manage the general maintenance and operation of the office

 

Skills, Competences, Qualifications

 

  • Recognised qualification in marketing comunications at degree level
  • Technical Aptitude so as to correctly communicate product features and benefits
  • Literacy in computer skills, especially in MS Office applications
  • Literacy in computer skills, experience of maintaining and using customer databases
  • Literacy in computer skills, experience in Adobe CS, Quark or similar

 

The Candidate

 

  • Resident national
  • Driving licence
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Mainly office based, but 4-5 trips per year.  (EU for training and through China for event organisation).
  • Self motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Focused goal achiever
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good time planning and time management skills
